What if Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Skype existed 40 years ago? How about just 10? Sometimes I am still amazed at how young these social media companies are. It’s exciting to think where we will be in another 40 years! Now where is my flying car?!
Brazilian ad agency Moma created these fake vintage ads for Facebook, Skype and YouTube for a media seminar called “Everything Ages Fast.” Enjoy!

Is Google Universal Search Biased towards YouTube? The simple answer is yes. Additionally, YouTube videos are far more likely to be displayed in the search results with thumbnail images. It is incredible to think that from this video April 2005 to November 2009 YouTube today has over 70,000 videos are uploaded daily. We have now been transformed into a “Clip Culture” where over 100,000,000 videos are viewed on YouTube every day, and all successful companies are being forced to become media companies. This is the first video on YouTube, uploaded at 8:27PM on Saturday April 23rd, 2005. The video was uploaded by Jawed Karim , co-founder of YouTube, shot by Yakov Lapitsky at the San Diego Zoo. The Clip Culture we no live in was born out of events of 2004 that were only viewable at the moment it was broadcast or the time it occurred. The first was the Janet Jackson Superbowl “wardrobe malfunction” and the other was the Tsunami where amateur video filmed on a cell phone was the primary available footage. Check out the video >
